Damn, this is like listening to one of those "Most Interesting Man in the World" commercials, but super good.

Read the first chapter not realizing half the characters are human sized rabbits. Bit confusing.

I guess one of my reading flaws is that I'm just real excited to talk about books, and that gives the false impression that I want to read the book. Or when I say, "oh, I just put it on my TBR," it actually means I plan on reading it. It's just a phrase.

Reading, buying books, putting stuff on my TBR, and checking out books from the library are all separate hobbies, and now my FIL has tricked me into reading this..

This book is wild. Just the brutal massacre you can imagine and then a bunch of rough and ready cowboys are like, "Oh dern, they dem just got poor Zeke."

Also, just realized I've been picturing Buffalo Hump as Mel Brooks in Blazing Saddles.

1. I remember reading this book a few years ago when it was called Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.

2. Natalie is like the worst version of Marmee you could possibly imagine. March > Mills.

This book is pretty fucked up.

I'm 100 pages in, and this book is really pushing on my "When to give up on a book, sub clause: Classics" rule.

Mark Twain hated Austen but apparently read this book every two years, and it's really making me rethink Twain.

It's like less of a novel and more a collection of interconnected short stories, but the only thing that connects them is that almost nothing happens.

I've got big thoughts about this book. Not all of them good. And that includes the quality of said thoughts. Because like my grandfather before me, "I just ain't that smart."

The writing is really good, but I just do not have any sympathy for rich people.

This guy does suck though. She said she never saw any red flags and then goes on to describe how awful they both are.
