Ugh. Despite Julia Whelan being the narrator, I'm struggling getting through this book. I can't stand Maggie and her stupidity. I wish I had read the reviews first.....

This narration is not grabbing me. I'm going to have to read the old fashioned way I guess

Had to bump my last book when this pre-order came through. So far it's as good as the other two. Highly recommend this series. I want to live in the Manor, ghosts and all!

Ohhhh these whiners!!!! Great mystery backstory but the sisters are really getting annoying. Just saying.

Omgggg I hate ALL of these people. They're whinier and more scared than teenagers and it's so hard to read their drivel. Ugh.

Omg this book has been LIFE CHANGING and a necessary part of my yoga journey. I'm 98% committed to studying teacher training with Brett because this book is resonating with me so much!! Yoga is truly so much more than just the asanas (poses) and this book is really bringing that point home.

Oooh this is a good one! Got sucked right in from Chapter 1!!

Started this a few days ago and forgot to add it. Very sweet book, reminds of Harold Fry and another book whose name escapes me but I'll find it for my final review.

Annnnd the award for Most Annoying Female Character goes to ......Anna. Gah, I already can't stand her. Hoping the others make up for this.

Started this the other day. Ugh, why are there sooooo many self-absorbed, whiny, annoying female characters out there? I can't stand Kristen, she doesn't listen when anyone talks, everything is ALWAYS about her and she wonders why her husband won't talk to her? Someone needs to drop a house on her or something.

Started reading a few days ago. It's typical Elin, full of family drama and interesting characters. Inlike it so far.

Omg a couple chapters in and I already HATE Lauren. What a whiny, selfish cow. Ugh.

Started this one a couple days ago and it has been a quick read although it started off a tad sluggish. I have loved most of Jamie Brenner's other books and I'm a bit puzzled at the low rating.

Definitely don't like this book as much as the other two. Too much old lady babbling. But I'll finish it.

Really surprised at the low ratings here. I'm liking these two precocious children, who have had a hard life but are sweet in spite of their toughness, and the relationship between Emmeline and Will. I can pretty much predict the sappy ending already but I'm kinda rooting for it, truth be told.

Ugh, stupid Spotify listening limits!! Only place I could find this to borrow. Not liking Juliette nearly as much as Cassie as the lead character but I'll finish when my time recycles.

Need something softer to read alongside that Jeannette McCurdy book.

Oh. My. God, this poor woman. I'm 10 or so chapters in and have already been so triggered by this horrible mother, who reminds me so much of my own, that I'm not sure I can finish, but I'm trying really hard because if she dug deep into her soul to tell her story, I can read it out of respect. But ugh. My heart.

Eh. I'll probably finish but it's a little more dry than I expected from a novel. Somewhat disappointed.

Ugh. So many unlikeable characters here. I hope I can finish. Story is so far keeping me engaged but these people need to get over themselves.

Omg Elsie is one of the most unlikeable characters I've read in ages. I see why the book is getting such a low rating. I can't seem to put the book down, however but man is she a self centered cow. Ugh.

I have tried twice to like this book but it is not captivating me. I'll give the physical book a try and see if it was the audio and then I'm done

I see what other reviews have said about this being quite an ordinary story where nothing much happens. But Benedict and Gemma are really growing on me.

Not grabbing me but I do want to come back at some point. Reshelving in favor of Christmas stories.

Fairly inane writing as usual but still somewhat entertaining.

Omg this whiny child needs a kick in the ass. Otherwise I'm really enjoying the story. Haha
