There is NO real tension in this book. Tense conversations and arguments go as follows, every time:
>Person is mad at Jason.
>Person makes VERY REAL and VERY VALID points about Jason and how he acts and what he says.
>Jason sasses.
>Person gets angrier and makes more valid points.
>Jason plays victim card boo-hoo woe is him
>Discussion ends cause poor Jason-Wason is sad ):

It’s bull.

Most enjoyable part of this book so far, Jason bringing some unsuspecting scholar along on an adventure against his will and it’s funny.

WHY IS HE FLIRTING WITH HIS NEW FRIENDS MOM?????!!!!??? IN FRONT OF HIS FRIEND?!!?!?!?!??! STOP?!!??!??!

And another thing, this MC starts describing new people by how attractive they are or aren’t first. No like, hair color/eye color, etc. “a tall, attractive guy”, “an averagely attractive gal”, etc. why? Like… why. Ugh.

Jason just had, what I can only refer to as, “a sick burn-off”. I want to throw this book into the ocean. In what world do “your mom” jokes actually make on-lookers look on in shock? Hello?

He vomited and passed out again.

You’re telling me that this dumb, sarcastic mf talked his way in circles and… Out smarted the GODDESS OF KNOWLEDGE by just being an insufferable little prick????? Absolutely not. Each page I get closer and closer to giving up on this dumb book. But… I don’t want to add another DNF so dang soon after the last one… Agh. Guess I read more…

Dude. Dude? Dude. I can’t. If this mf mentions crabwalking, says another sarcastic comment, or vomits again “from mana exhaustion”, I’m gonna crash out. This book is giving “written by a redditor” vibes. The chapter I left off on is called “Waving the Flag for Secular Morality”. Huh? What? What are you on about??? I’m so determined to not have another DNF book but god this is making it SO HARD.

I wish when I started this book I had started a damn vomit counter. I think the main character Jason has vomited like 7 times now. His reaction to using all his mana has been either vomit, or vomit and then pass out. Someone get my guy a BUCKET or a TUMS I’m BEGGING YOU.

This book is part of a new genre to me, LitRPGs (Literary RPGs). So far, I think they're a really neat new thing, though I'm not entirely sure if this book does it very well. I keep hearing about a different series, Dungeon Crawler Carl, that does it better, so I plan on reading that one sometime to compare.
So far this book is a very slow moving story, I'm 150 pages in and it's still not even been 24 hours in story.
