i love when authors have little chracter details in their books. Gabe never calls people he might not like/doesn’t know how to pronounce their names by their name ie. jeremy and nabokov and chani always corrects him. and it’s clear it’s not bc he’s not willing to put in the effort to learns these things since he put so much effort into pronouncing her name correctly since they first meet
