Netgally gave me the arc!!! 😭😭

I just discovered this author. But I didn’t know I needed romances with broken men who needed healing like this 😭. I read a lot of broken women who needed healing. But dang these emotional roller coasters this author has me on are addictive.

It’s fine, does what it needs to as a romance so far BUT Why the heck does the author and everyone always reference her step dad as his full name?? “Steve hope” like that’s so annoying I don’t get it

I feel like I’m trudging thru. It feels fast paced and rushed now. I’m over halfway, in part two now. The worldbuilding needs more. This story had so much potential

The first three chapters didn’t last, I miss it already. I’m enjoying it enough, but it’s now reading like classical YA. Fast paced (but somehow slow a little?)

I am three chapters in, but I’m really enjoying the writing. It feels different than most of the first person books that I’ve been reading this year and it’s really refreshing. I also think the author somehow manages to add some poetic purple pros pieces in, but not overwhelming and it flows really well. It’s quite beautiful actually so far.

Well it got recommended by audible and two of my favorite narrators? Yeah easy sell

This is actually pretty fun. I am enjoying it.

Def scratched an itch

I saw that Zachary Webber is a narrator on this and that is an immediate buy for me. I have loved every single book he has ever narrated.

I’m a sucker for musical romance. The first story I ever wrote myself was two musicians falling in love. So I am a huge sucker for for the tropes and musicians in this book. I loved it. I finished it in less than 24 hours.

I am halfway through this. I often need to take breaks because it is very heavy. Very eye-opening.

Zachary Webber narrates this. So I have high hopes since I DNF book 2 In this series. I enjoyed book 1. But Zachary is one of my fav male narrators and every book I’ve read from him (which is like so many lmao!) I have loved.

I wanted to give it 3 stars. But the way he kept referring to her “mocha” skin was big cringe. The sex scenes (bad, I skipped over them)……I just can’t get give higher than 2. The beginning was great, but then the first time he said her mocha skin it just rubbed me the wrong way, because as a writer, I know not to describe people of color using food related descriptions…all in all I think was an okay read.

My husband was searching for books for me as a gift, and was listening to me talk about how I was in a marriage of convenience mood. He picked this out for me lol and I’m going see how it is.

Lost interest maybe I’ll come back

Idk why I’m still reading this except that I actually kind of want to see how the story turns out. It’ll probably be a 2 star again but hey, I’m still here right?

I hate that I keep continuing this lol the story is addicting, the characters interesting, the execution tho needs something.

This book causes me to stim in happy ways

I already love this book. Abby Jimenez is truly in my opinion a queen of contemporary romance

This book was amazing and I feel like a piece of me is missing now that I have finished it.

I cannot write my review fully right now. I’m still processing this book. The emotional impact this book has put on my heart physically, and mentally is just ridiculous. I highly recommend reading legend born in this book. I cannot wait to see what the author does next

Taking a break from fantasy and in the mood for some contemporary romance these days.

When some of the reviews said, this was a wild ride, they were not wrong. I cannot tear myself away from this book.
