I just can't get into it. I want to like it but the characters are SO BLAND. We have a blind mmc with trauma and a potential shadow daddy but there's no depth to these characters or the plot. I legitimately don't even know how I've gotten this far. Give me substance or AT LEAST a little bit of smut. 67% in and the plot is boring and the spice is kissing and one instance of subpar frotting. Uuuuuuughhh

I forgot how much I'm not a fan of Rebel Bloom's writing sometimes...

The plot drew me in, the first MC made me stay this long, but why's the 2nd MC have to suck SO BAD? There's literally nothing exciting about this at 30% in and I have no hope it will get better, and that is just depressing AF.

One of these soggy pieces of cardboard did something cool finally. Shame they're being a little bitch about it though.

This bitch is still super annoying and I hate her. The foreshadowing is so solid it's a GD brick wall.

Istg if this bitch is annoying in this book too, SJM better be ready to catch these hands.

Pretty sure I'm going to DNF. this is just.... poorly written. And normally I don't mind that. But it's like I'm reading a 14 year old's wattpad fanfic.

Probably going to DNF at 32%. Not really engaging. 🤷‍♀️

DNF'd at 54%. Some of my favorite tropes here, but it is so poorly written I can't continue.

I absolutely could not continue to torture myself. DNF'd at 38%, and I don't even know how I made it that far in the first place. There is literally nothing happening, and I swear this book is 400 pages longer than it needed to be.

DNF'd at 70%. I kept thinking I'd come back to it because there were some kinda cute bits, but it just fell a little too flat for me

I LOVE all the tropes/dynamics this book has, and had high hopes for it. But unfortunately, I cannot stand the FMC. The dialogue is kind of all over the place, hard to follow, and it made me feel like I was inside the mind of an over emotional person with severe ADHD. Tbh, I was more interested in the FMC's best friend's relationship than I was hers.

Couldn't make it past the prologue. The entire prologue is an explicit rape scene with the FMC and her step brother. I read dark shit. Enjoy dark shit. But this? No thanks. The TWs did NOT prepare me for that.
