John Adam’s and Abigail might be climbing to the top of my list.
Is Adam’s my long lost twin brother?

Martha Washington is my hero. What a good wife and friend and role model.
I might try to find a biography on her alone next. She’s wonderful.

Thoughts so far:

Washington’s mother sounds like a nightmare. Poor guy.
Also I never knew he had romantic feelings for a married woman while engaged to Martha. And to think Martha knew of these feelings and events and still stood by him and the two later on because really really good friends and spouses. (I won’t say lovers because apparently Washington didn’t believe in love.

Absolutely fascinating and I’m only 6% in.

I’m not crying, you are. 😭
This book is too much for my heart. I cry after every chapter (almost. )
So well written. I must finish this book.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a book that was hard to put down. I’ve already teared up once and felt the adrenaline of not knowing how the chapter was going to end.
I really hope the rest of this book continues this way.
