I can tell already that this book is going to have a big “omg!” moment at the end and it’s supposed to be a big reveal but it’s not going to make a lick of sense. Meera and Talia think Amanda broke into their work and left a dead bat in Talia’s desk, but neither thought to call the police? Or that the other people in their office didn’t insist? This whole book is nonsense

That was one of the most unrealistic rescue scenes I’ve ever read in my entire life.
It’s night, yet Thea can see all these sharks in the water. She’s able to saw through the rope a couple times with a little necklace knife… and no air. Only Westin was bit by sharks. And a shark exploded her out of the water without biting her as she grabbed the emerald. What a let down to have it done so unrealistically.

Ok, I know we’re all supposed to love a moody man… but I can’t with Nick. He’s trying to turn Thea into a villain knowing she’s being held prisoner, has a death machine attached to her wrist, is obviously being injected with shit and then manipulated… I honestly can’t fathom a redeeming story arc to ever make me like him again. He’s a piece of shit.

This dude keeps going into her bedroom while she’s sleeping/he thinks she’s sleeping. So out of line and such a red flag. He is not sexy. It’s not cute. It’s gross. Why is a grown ass man “waking” her up by stealing the comforter off of her and then mocking her. So fucking weird. Also, who wears a tux to work?
