Loving this book so far! What's stuck out at this point is the fantastic blend of suspense & history, the way the comp-titles (Sarah's Key and another) are so on point, and how much growth I can already foresee – Kate's the introspective kind. I have a special place in my heart for stories about falling in love with one's self & destiny, and The Lost Vintage is definitely going to be up there with my faves.

I'm trying really hard to like the female protagonist, but she's at a restaurant with the male protagonist and she sees a blonde woman sitting alone, and immediately determines that the woman is interested in her date. She even says that no beautiful woman would go to a fancy restaurant alone.

My book-club is reading this title this month, and all I have heard is that this book will break me in every way possible. I'm ready for it.

The worst thing a romance author can do in my books is make the female protagonist too "quirky" or give her a "not-like-other-girls" personality, but I'm rather enjoying this one.

Unfortunately, I might have to tap out of this one earlier than I expected. I love, love the cover and the synopsis had me positively giddy, but I'm not a fan of coming-of-age romance novels with aggravating protagonists, a cast I couldn't care less about, and the cut-and-paste plot.

The one bad thing about a reading-high is that the crash is always, always annoyingly brutal. I haven't been able to continue a book from my currently-reading pile in the last two weeks and it's grating, because I have so many commitments :(

I find it really odd that Jessica's first thought when they find a man bleeding to his inevitable death is to have sex with the man she has been having an affair with. Truly bizarre, if you ask me.

I can't get over how cute Ezra is. He's so flustered and is literally stunned because he has finally met the lady he has been catfishing—and she's gorgeous! Can't wait to see how this plays out!

Was there a look that said I know we've never met, but we've actually been writing one another for over five months now, though I’ve been using my sister’s name and you’ve no doubt believed you were writing another woman and not her brother at all, but it’s still me.

Absolutely charming! Ezra is such a dear and I love him!

“It’s like a dream.” Her face fell. “But I can’t possibly read all of them. It keeps me up at night sometimes, knowing that I can’t read every book I own. An unread book is a terrible thing. You should see how many books are stacked beside my bed just waiting to be read. And I don’t have time to read them all.”

Amazing. That's all. Sophia is an amazing storyteller. Her writing is working wonders on my mood this cold Monday morning.

First, she comes first. Every. Single. Time. Before you get yours, make sure she gets hers. If you happen to orgasm before her, you better make sure you return the damn favor.

Making a woman come is addictive; it’s a natural high most men take for granted. Her pleasure is paramount, and you don’t ever want to leave a woman unsatisfied.

This conversation between Theo and Cohen has about sex, virginity, and other related topics has got to be the most awkward dialogue in the history of literature. I'm cringing and smiling like a loon. I can't bring myself to look at my phone for too long—this book is sucking all the air in the room.

Reading slump…is that you?

My superpower is uncontrollably adding books to my "currently-reading" shelf and getting overwhelmed at my backlog. That said, here's the flavour of the hour. Will she be finished? Will she end up in the "abandoned pile"? I guess we have to watch and find out.

I am struggling to like Imani. She's incredibly judgey/preachy and doesn't feel guilty even when she's clearly in the wrong. Zander—the male protagonist—is such a precious soul.

There's so much angst and feeling. My personal brand of hell!

I’m a pandemic-era teacher, dammit. That basically qualifies me for a presidential run.

Ah yes, release day! I feel like I can finally breathe. Now to wrap my self for the next few hours in a cocoon of insta-love/lust, a very possessive alpha-male, and some much needed dirty talking. Smut hits and SMUT hits even harder.

Ugh. Why can't I get into this book?

I like the family dynamics and how the protagonists' relationship have progressed this far. That said, I am just at the 34% mark and they've about done everything that can be done with a single-parent cum nanny-and-employer romance novel. I'm worried that the final 66% might be a slogfest.

This is already off to a great start!

This book is so well-researched! The author doesn't skimp on the details and I can see why this might be a turnoff for some readers. But it's perfect to me!

I believe the term for this level of preoccupation with another person is termed "whipped." Fellows, Ivan is so whipped and past redemption. Love him and her and everybody. This book is giving me the feels I have been missing!!

They're so cute together! My heart can't take this amount of sweetness.

I love that he's so smitten with her. I'm not sure the narrative will shift to the female protagonist, but at this point I can't seem to being myself to mind. Ivan is an honest, refreshing, and amazing character and I'm stoked to see how his relationship with Pauline progresses!
