Excuse me the fuck

That is a rude way to start a book WTF

I love James Holden because he might be captured, beaten, and as far as he knows about to be tortured, but by god will he have his coffee

I missed you Chrissy ❤️❤️❤️

I have an hour left and if this book doesn't end with a 1000 year jump ahead to Riyria times epilogue with Esra's POV on meeting you-know-who I will riot

"Mawyndulë, no one has ever been on your side." Sing it

Not Yolric explaining the concept of Chekov's Gun 🤣

I've only known Farilane for 5 minutes but if anything happened to her I'd kill everyone in this room and then myself

This book has single handedly cured my months long reading slump

My reading slump is being aggressively broken by an astoundingly skilled warrior, the ragtag group of misfits he trained up, and his burgeoning friendship with a very likeable prince who's not nearly as arrogant as one might expect...and I didn't even have to reread 1500 pages of Stormlight

Damn if Michael J Sullivan can't make me love a character in 2 minutes or less

This book is to writers & readers as Katabasis is to academia. I feel like they're winking at me every 3 sentences

Save me from my reading slump, Victoria

How do I explain that a person who happens to be fictional is different from a mere character without sounding insane? Because my recent books have been contained mostly just characters and it has made my heart happy to get back to some legit fictional people (ily Kade)

I would like Natasha Hodgson to narrate every audiobook I ever read for the foreseeable future, I fear

This protagonist is a bigger idiot than Fitz. Dumbass.

Oh no I fear I am becoming invested

Still objectively bad but I am figuring out why it has the cult following. And I don't even want to consider how much fanfic there probably is.

This is like....objectively not a good book. And yet I can't bring myself to put it down?

I caved

Listen, it's bad enough that the man's a genocidal maniac. But the way he talks to his kid? I hope this man dies a fiery fictional death

I also love being in Philip's psychotic little head. Genuinely don't know if I want to see him get his shit together and realize his dad is insane, or see him devolve further into his own craziness. Honestly, it's a win/win

I'm guessing it's probably polarizing and not everyone would agree, but as an Oathbringer girlie, I am loving the switch-up from 4 main POVs to approximately 200

I think my favorite thing about a long series like this is that you really get to *know* the characters in a way you just can't with a stand alone, or even a trilogy. You spend some 100-200 hours with the same people and they start to feel real. So when you crack open a new volume it feels like the familiarity of coming home.

....or maybe I'm just crazy. Either way.

Oh no....two people with fundamentally clashing personalities and life philosophies who dont trust each other are gonna have to team up against their common enemy....oh nooooooo

Utterly bizarre choice to have the male narrator read for Peter's lines for one chapter, where for the entire rest of the book he didn't???

This is at least partly the plot of Legally Blonde

"Magicians do really well in consulting" im cackling is this just gonna be 18 hours of shade at academia

"This was the key to graduate school. You could do anything if you were delusional." RF Kuang I love you more academics should write fantasy books
