Walking the fine edge of DNF vs continuing. Every time I get to the point of being DNF, something is mentioned that keeps me just interested enough to continue. Feels like The Venice Hotel that I read earlier in the year but not as good

Found the baby at start funny - not so much banter at this point. Also was hoping for a slower burn

Got me through lots of driving today. Quite a few laughing out load moments

Yikes, there is some heavy stuff in this. I can’t believe I read these as a kid. Now days this would come with a trigger warning list I think

My heart hurts

Heartbreaking. The terror and grief of these poor families and the lack of support and action from police and the legal system is throwing all the feels at me. These poor angels 👼

Getting a bit repetitive, but will persist for now

I’ve said it before and I will say it again. This story is brutal and unforgiving. And absolutely WILD! Every-time I pick it up I am sucked right back into it

I would be surprised the authors keyboard still displays the symbol of a comma due to the excessive amount of them so far…one sentence had 9!! I’m finding the book JUST engaging enough to keep going but not an easy read given the style and format of test. Think this book will need to be read in bursts

Very thought provoking. So interesting to learn about the origins of our language

The state of Australia during this time blows my mind

It is incredible how much the body holds onto when you are carrying trauma from childhood with you throughout life. When you dive into what PTSD actually is (not the over used phrase commonly used in society today) it is nearly incomprehensible the toll it takes on one’s body
