The character that has the most influence on the protagonist is other people. Greg (the main character) does anything that other people in his life think is cool. Which is why he always tries to be cool and popular.

When Greg doesn't have much confidence he stays to himself and doesn't do much. But when hes really confident on himself he is more open and tries to do more things he usually doesn't do

It depends on who the person is if I would recommend them the book or not.The book is mostly about music and I wouldn't recommend the book to someone who is not deeply interested in music.

The main character which is Nate is going thru middle school and is trying to be popular and relevant which isn't working out for him. He has a few friends from school but he doesn't treat them like friends.Hes also jealous cause his crush is dating his old friend and he gets mad and sad about it

One significant theme about the book is not being able to talk or be heard.X has a lot of things she questions and wants to say but she cant.So instead she makes poens about all the things she has to say.Even tho she doesnt show anyone her poems and what she has to say about things
