Re-reading this one with the intent of getting through the whole trilogy. Forgot how entertaining and absorbing it was.

I'm listening to the audiobook narrated by James Adams. Willis' writing is very lyrical and I appreciate the way he uses creative license to bring immediacy and drama to a narrative that has been built on journal entries and interviews, however I'm growing very bored with the thing. I'm not sure if it's the soporific BBC voice of the narrator or the repetitive structure of the book itself, perhaps it's both.

Hitting the Anthropic Principle wall. I find this theory (and Roszaks too- long treatment of it) to be somewhat obtuse and cyclical. Time to bear down and push through, hopefully more satisfying fare lies on the other side.
