Hitting the Anthropic Principle wall. I find this theory (and Roszaks too- long treatment of it) to be somewhat obtuse and cyclical. Time to bear down and push through, hopefully more satisfying fare lies on the other side.

After reading Making of a Counterculture, I'm finding it easier to digest Roszak's sometimes wooden academic style. At this point in the book I'm particularly enjoying his comments on a narrow-minded reality principle and how Jungian and Laingian ideas can serve to broaden and enlighten our modern notions of sanity and mental health.
