i swear he loves his 1950s car more than his 1950s girlfriend

first he breaks into her house, then he yells at her w a freudian slip of calling her by his ex wife’s name, then they get back together even though george is no more honest and all their problems are still there

also sadie is sooo weirdly man dependent in these chapters i hate it

pls tell me why jake is dishonest and evasive in his relationship and then still manages to get angry at sadie and corner her semi threateningly in the breakup like jake i think i hate you now for how you treated her

he strings her along knowing he can never be honest w her knowing that’s her one thing she really cares abt is transparency ugh i hate him

me when i’m on page THREE HUNDRED FORTY THREE and we’re derailing into a romance instead of trying to stop jfks assassination bro get to the point of the book PLEASE

finally in texas after reading the equivalent of a regular novel oh my god

finally we finished this derry nonsense pls tell me why i’m over 200 pgs in and we haven’t even started the whole “stopping the kennedy assassination” plot

day 3 of crying at this book but also let me compliment it for the fact that when we start jets pov the voice does change to be more teen and more of her personality AND the characterizations of the other ppl are consistent but unique to her perceptions of them
