i feel like i started the year with the worst possible book LMAOO

i wish anne rice named the 7th part "the story of the vampire marius" so i would've known to skip it.

i fear that how slow im getting through this despite knowing how much i love the characters and their relationship and the story itself is just a testimony of how much i loathe romance books 💀💀 if this was any other genre i couldve been done with it in one afternoon

im reading like 4 other books besides this one right now in hopes that at least one of them will pull me out of the dreadful reading slump i feel approaching. i hope its not gonna be a mistake to continue with this one, although it sure feels like one so far

chapter 29 pissed me off so bad i almost threw the book and DNFed it

this book wants to be a romance so bad, the "horror" / fantasy plot almost feels like context for the relationship between douglas and everett

this has gotten kinda lame very fast

at last, i am FINALLY finishing the trilogy
