Haven’t picked a book up in nearly a year. Made it a goal of this year to read more because I miss it. Like a lot. Unfortunately I don’t have a safe space to do so. Still working on that one but this is a start. Also not sure why I hadn’t updated the progress on this one. I’ve got about a quarter to go…

I’ve been slacking. Think it’s burnout from reading so much Stephen King. Really need to put in a book order. This has been fine so far. Saw the movie once years ago and remember the basics but not the finer details. Just know it’s similar to SH: Downpour.

Finally nearing the end (I’ve been slacking). Definitely not my favorite. But vampires are tricky like that. I love Dracula. But I also love True Blood (books are mid) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sticking to the trilogy rules. Nobody is safe. RIP Banner.

So far just proof that the television will never truly capture the dread that Stephen King is able to put on paper. RIP Petersons

I watched the HBO series, not realizing it was a King until a few episodes in, and wasn’t super impressed with the ending. But I have the same problem with pretty much every King adaptation. The groundwork gets laid well but then it all just kind of falls apart. Like the writers and directors skip the nuance and they don’t translate to the screen well.

If it keeps up, def a 5 ☆; hopefully the ending doesn’t fall apart.

It’s so nice reading a book with descriptive language. I’m looking at Night Shift.

Alright I’ve got it all figured out. Becca saw this entity in the woods, made a pact, and saw an easy out that wasn’t outright suicide. These other people are unfortunate collateral… like a spooky A Good Idea 🤔

Plot is fine. Still not a fan of the writing style. Not enough words.

Worried about the pacing being too quick. I like a wordie book. Tell me about the weather or the color of the walls. What were the girls in the bathroom gossiping about? What color is Keller’s maternity suit. What does Mr Local Detective look like other than his polo tucked into his pants???

I take back what I said about poor Cecelia. She doing the best she can, bless her heart.
