Before the Big Reveal, I had a running theory that Janie, a not very nice girl, was screwing around with Connor and John-Paul, got pregnant, and when she wanted to end things with John-Paul, her little giggle made him snap. She did the same little giggle to Connor and saw his reaction.

Shoutout to Mother Lucy. Everyone needs a Lucy.
