It took me an hour to get through 26 pages because I’m trying to read this as carefully as possible. I’ll see you guys when I’m 37.

I also go around asking questions and not providing an answer because I do not know. If I knew, I wouldn’t be asking. But I’m not lying, is the difference.

When justice is served, the punished have essentially been stripped of the freedom of choice — they’re jailed, forced to pay or return a debt, etc.

I’m four pages in and I’m really regretting getting this from the library because I need to annotate this. I might pause this reading venture and go buy my own copy so I can take the copious notes a book like this requires.

Algernon finally died. Strange that the advertised event happens with only 40 pages left but it’s important.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish this: I really don’t like unnecessary cruelty inflicted on characters who don’t even understand what’s happening. But I’ll try.
