A page-turning epic of Homeric proportions, starring MacGyver rather than Odysseus, the red planet instead of the cyclops, and written by a nerd for nerds. I enjoyed being stranded with Watney, and seeing what problem will hit him next, and what ingenious way he'll work around it. My kind of sci-fi!
