A lot of repetitive, drawn-out details with the descriptions of scenes, characters, backstory, etc, which is making for a slow start. There is no character connection yet. Hopefully, this one picks up like I've read in other reviews.

Slow start, but starting to figure out the characters and their code names and which characters belong to which code name chapters.

I can finally understand why some are comparing dollba by to this book. same names are introduced..but the story is different. at this point I would like to think that the author of dollbaby was "inspired" by this story.

Started this book back in November and it made me itch to knit. Had to put it down, and be creative. Then I had to read the new Picoult book. Finally, picking this back up again. I refuse to touch my knitting needles again until I finish the book.

I thought this was going to be a sequel to "The Girl She Used To Be" not a retelling from a different viewpoint. I will give it a go anyway since I really enjoyed the first book.

wondering if maybe Alice's parents died. why haven't they thought of this yet? Otherwise, loving the book so far.

This is not a book that you just read. This is a book that you read with the internet opened beside you so you can reference events, people, etc. and read further into the history then the book shares. More to come as I progress further....
