OKAY SUE ME IM IN A READING SLUMP AND WANTED SOME TRASH

I was hoping so much more from this book. The only good writing occurs during some death scenes. She also like ruined this one character by amplifying his personality to an unnatural amount. I have so much to say and I am so disappointed bc I loved the series up until now

My favorite thing in this book is the war scenes. It’s like I’m finally reading something real in the book when those happen. •_• like I cannot stand the miscommunication happening.

You have got to be joking. No chapter longer than 10 pages, somehow someway everyone is in love?? THERE IS NO COHESIVENESS TO THE BOOK. one moment yall are at a ball you didn’t even attend and I don’t get the details of but the next your on a completely different part of the continent and I don’t get to read about the journey and I’m supposed to just accept your there????

Also what is this short attention span having ass chapters. Why are the chapters 5-10 pages MAX???? Oh my god I know people complain about long chapters but long chapters are needed sometimes jesus christ

I think my biggest critique of diem is the fact she just throws around money. Girl you cannot offer million of dollars to every single person that is not how a good economy functions. And I know it’s just a tactic to earn support but like imagine they actually take her up on it

you know how I said that I wasn’t proud to admit it but woman enough to say it? This is another one of those moments. But what makes this better is that it’s a bad book that knows it bad, therefore it’s kinda enjoyable

I think it’s weird that she like took on the role of a “traditional” wife and I get why but I just don’t like it because it feels WEIRD

Oh my god I’ve been reading all day and this book so good but if anything happens to my favorite character I’m rating this book 1 star

So I didn’t know what to read and had Caide pick out my next read and I’ve been obsessed. Binge reading the last 2 days because it’s so addictive

Okay so I read like a TON today and it’s because the pacing of this book is like perfect (not like objectively perfect but perfect for today and me atm) and even though I do think the premise of the book is less interesting than the 1st book, it still does a very good job and I’m really liking it

160 pages deep, they are married and I kind of mess with it. I really wish I could use emojis so express how I’m feeling about this >:(

Preliminary thoughts: the last book was set in New Orleans and that was very fitting setting because of the supposed paranormal activity and events that occur in that area but this book is set in Italy. Maybe it’s bc I don’t know lore but that feels like the least paranormal place. I’m trying to keep an open mind

I like how dark it is. I was really worried it was gonna be super similar to another book I read recently, because they follow a similar premise, but they go about it in very different ways which makes me happy

Wait guys I am loving this. I do kind forget the characters unless they are like prominent, so when the author mentions this random connection to a person who has only mildly appeared I get kinda confused on who we’re talking about. Lowkey would kill for like a list of people in the back and how they are connected but not ina way that detracts from the story

This book was not what I was expecting, and I’m like almost in love with it? But it’s not quite enough

This is what I imagine drug store romance book at the beach would read like. Not necessarily in a bad way, it’s cute

Don’t think I love the main male character, Charlie, he’s being annoying. And they two main characters haven’t even met in person yet and he’s already being overbearing

I need to be at the beach reading this

The only thing you could think to do to distract him was kiss him??? Slap him or something don’t piss me off
