I’m honestly so confused. Where are we and what is happening and who are these people. How does this world work and why…I feel like I missed 50 pages of worldbuilding and lore. Am I just stupid??? I keep waiting for things to be explained or finally make sense but I just found out the houses are actually all their own separate planets??? I was imagining like 20~50 ppl max per house but surely there’s more then?

I decided what Deri will look like regardless but I already had a stand in for Owain and then there was one line that ruined what I had in mind and idk how to picture him now. This is my pet peeve in books and so many authors do this! Please just tell me what they look like early on!!!! AAAAAA
