What I find exciting about the iliad is how complex it is. How there is no good or bad side and how there are shitty people and good people on each side and they don't switch sides, they stick with their own regardless.

I quite love it but I can't read it at night and also I can't stop reading but I don't want to finish it too fast!!!! Heeeeeeelp

Oh, I'm having way more fun than expected with this book.

Oh no, I have to stop it on a cliffhanger chapter because it's past my bedtime!! Noooo!!!

The last part of it is much more beautiful and profound but is it because it's in contrast with the first bleak and boring one or because it's actually better? Anyway, pay-off not worth it.

This kind of writing is not my jam. There's too much tell, tell, tell and I am bored.

mucho telenovela, still think an editor would've been useful because it's full of boring irrelevant details that makes reading it a bit tedious

Got into it pretty fast - I mean, we did end the first one on a bit of cliffhanger. I'm vibing with my girls, but I am curious why other than our two brilliant friends, the accent is so much on their relationship with the other boys. I was hoping for more female friendships I guess.

hooked - took me a while to get the who's who, but fear not, I'm intrigued - I am not sure about the "literary thriller", seems very much classic modern thriller to me, but alas, who knows what the Guardian had in mind

Reads very fast, but I'd much rather read something else.

It's very interesting how the stories are shocking and disturbing yet the book captivated me and I cannot stop reading. I can't even say if it's the writing or not.

And things went crazy fast. Maybe I am having fun... I do get the idea about obsession but frankly I'm more of a My Husband by Maud Venture kind of obsession lover rather than Vladimir.

I'm over 50% into this audiobook and I still don't know how I feel about it. On one side the inner monologue of the main character is jarring but on the other side is that on purpose?

Oh, I quite like how this started. Very French.

I have a hard time with the writing - I'm really intrigued by the story, but I think lately I'm reading such amazing pieces of writing that the writing in Vladimir feels meh.
