I’m having to space this out with other books because it’s pissing me off so much. (The book is good! The subject matter is just tough)

I’m going to have to restart this and take notes about the characters because I’m multitasking - listening to the audiobook and cleaning - and I’m getting all the girls confused.

I’m bored to tears. This may be a DNF.

There’s some very animal cruelty that I had to fast forward the audiobook through. There have been a 3 instances so far. I wouldn’t have read if I’d known this.

The prose is weighty and arduous. I’m listening to the audiobook. I usually multitask while listening but I have to pay close attention or I’ll drift off into thought because I quit concentrating on her words. I hate making sentences more wordy just for the sake of using big words.

I’m still listening though because it does mostly keep my attention and it’s been recommended by people whose opinions I trust
