i'm not loving it so far, it started off strong but as it keeps going it gets more and more redundant and repetitive and watered down. it feels like when you repeat a word 20 times in a row that you start to detach the word from its meaning... it's becoming shallow and lacks substance imo

I’m literally on the second chapter and I’m already fucking obsessed. The writing is a mix of straightforward yet metaphoric, which I really enjoy!!! I love everything so far, i’m very enveloped in the story because it starts off mysterious even though it’s straightforward . I JUST WANNA KNOW MORE !!!!!! shit im obsessed

so fucking emotionally draining which makes me think it’s worth it. i only really like it because of the sadness within the characters but if I wouldn’t willingly read yanagihara’s work again if it weren’t this depressing
