darrow is so insistent in validating his perception of "all golds are evil" and i think that makes him a likable character imo ( also ive just been informd that the author is pro-israel & lowkey that makes this story feel unserious imo is dis true?)

this comes off as too boy fantasy to me but i lowkey don’t mind. the mc is lovable and just, he seems to have a genuine care for women.

ahhh atm on standby, i was bored with the chapters and sat it aside now i don't remember what happened in this book. might reread someday who knows

i love the writing? like sure, its hella descriptive but its not the annoying kind where it literally tells you what's happening, leaving no space for imagination, no. i can actually imagine the scenarios, picture the life iris and lucy had and have. and LUCY!! she feels so fleshed out? reading her human life and her vampire life is always so exciting gashjdklfsl i wish i can properly articulate my enthusiasm argh

I shouldn’t be reading lengthy novels two times a row but like… am simple womaam: I see pretty cover, I read. And!! it’s written so beautifully!!

reading this book is like spending a day with the most shopaholic person you know. its all so overstimulating. fun but im gonna be glad when this ends. (tho I don’t mind rereading this)
