A really interesting book and very useful.

One I will keep and read again as I've not been able to fully absorb it on the first read through

Waivering on whether this will be my first DNF of 2023. Lydia is quite interesting but I have zero interest in the world around her.

I'm not getting on with this. Not sure why, maybe it's because I don't like the main character but there doesn't seem to be a flow in the writing, making it hard to read. Is it because it's written in Jade's stream of conscious and she has no idea or consideration for those around her as she spews out her nonsense.
I love slasher films so I hope I cam get in sync in the next chapter or two. Please let this get better

600 pages is sooo long!

I read this many years ago and I wasn't looking forward to reaching it in the anthology as it's soooo sloooooow.
But here we are, wish me luck!

I'm more interesting in him being the "Supervet" rather than becoming it, so it's all a bit 'meh' so far

It took a long time to actually pick this up and start reading but I'm on my way now.

The story seems quite interesting so far but the amount of unnecessary references to breast size and sex is wearing a bit thin already. Hopefully it will tone down, but knowing Murakami it won't. Which is a shame. I hope this doesn't end on my DNF list.

Reading this again to refresh myself, as the 2nd omnibus is next of my TBR pile

I love this book, but I'm not even half way....

Just read the introduction. It was a very interesting read. Most introductions tend to kiss the authors ass, singing their praises. This one is quite honest in saying that most of Chambers work is poor.

I'm looking forward to getting into the stories now.

I'm working through the mythos stories and if I enjoy them I'll read the rest of the stories.

But at the moment I'm stalled at At the Mountains of Madness. Ni matter how hard I concentrate it's just not going in...

The format of this story is reallt hard to follow and I can see it only getting worse. It could be another DNF...
