Teckla is on page 5 of 352 of If I Live (If I Run, #3)
I’m still trying to process the second book as I start this third one. If I didn’t have to rake the parkway tomorrow of leaves from last Fall I’d be reading this book instead and maybe finishing it too. Maybe if the wind is blowing just right I won’t have to rake very much, lol. The wind is always blowing and never in the right direction, lol

This story is really good and the style of writing keeps me from putting it down. I checked it out from the library and at first I did not read it right away but I started it again today on my day off and I’ve read 200 pages! I was so engrossed in the storyline I didn’t even realize two hours have gone by. I can’t wait to see how the story ends.

It is a good story and if I didn’t have other unexpected things occurring right now like my fence has decided it wants to fall down, I’d probably have read this book straight through already instead of having to set it aside to try and find someone to fix the fence.

Teckla is on page 78 of 208 of Clara's Kitchen: Wisdom, Memories, and Recipes from the Great Depression
Lots of interesting little tidbit stories of how it was growing up Italian-American during the Great Depression and how Clara’s family got by on mere pennies and having a vegetable garden. If you’ve watched her YouTube videos then like me you can hear her voice in your head as you read this book. Lots of recipes in here too.

Another page turner by Katherine Center,
There’s hope that single life doesn’t mean always being alone but if you are it’s ok and sometimes someone comes along you didn’t expect & someone who you did but wasn’t meant to stay, it’s not the end of the world. There are other more important things going on right now for Jenny like juggling single motherhood and her newborn baby Maxie

I haven’t been able to read a book in about two years… not since before my Mom died unexpectedly. For the first time I feel like trying to read a book or two. Im going on a plane in a couple of days so I went to a used bookstore here in town and picked up a Lee Child book… here’s hoping I get past the first chapter. I’ve always liked his books but my attention span has been lacking lately.

I started this a week ago and am having a hard time finishing it because every time I set it down than come back a few days later I can't remember who everyone is. Too many characters in the story to keep track of and I'm quickly losing interest which is a bummer because I'm sure this is a pretty good story. My advice? Don't put it down until you've read it all the way through or take notes.

Teckla is starting The Autobiography of Foudini M. Cat: A Novel
I just started this book this morning. I have cats that are the approximate age of Foudini telling his story and of grace the younger kitten recently introduced to the household so it makes me compare how my Ernie and the younger Julie are with each other. More insight that I never really thought of before. I can tell already that this is going to be a good book.

Teckla is on page 200 of 256 of Hobo Quilts: 55+ Original Blocks Based on the Secret Language of Riding the Rails
I picked this up at the library by chance and it's really interesting to read. There are photos of quilt blocks with designs that each have a meaning known only to those riding the rails. And there are stories from men who once rode the rails during the Great depression telling of their experiences as hobos, and trying to survive during a really rough time in america's past.

Teckla is starting Shadow Woman
I lost interest and returned it to the library. I think I've been too tired to read lately. I will try the book again a little later.

I can't put this down. Really good book but what is scary is that it is a true story. Reads really well. A little girl telling a story of her survival . It is not gruesome in details. I think I have read this before because some parts sound familiar but I can not remember when I read it so I'm continueing on to the end because I just can't put it down.

I'm somewhere in the middle and it's getting weird but no weirder than usual for her books.
