Wow!!!!! What to say about this book! Toni Morrison is an ABSOLUTE genius!!!! This is a very well structured and beautifully well written book by the Queen of literature!!! A word of advice: watch Toni Morrison interviews on YouTube!!! This is a great book about the story! The book is structured in layers and is said in many different points of view! It’s confusing at times but that is the point in parts!

I have a “love/annoyance” with this book!! I love the setting!!! The island, Shearwater is a fictional place but is based on a real island by Antarctica! I really love how the author talks about different plants and animals! It was fun to read about them and then look them up on my phone! There are a lot of different plants in the world! It jumps around a lot and is a book to highly pay attention to every detail!
