I was enjoying this but late in the story, there is a sudden POV change to a villain that was not given a POV before and I found it really irritating and unnecessary.

The language in this makes me feel like I'm reading a Pride and Prejudice version of the movie The Conqueror.

This is an intriguing book, unusual and very good.

Boring. Just a rehash of the original story with little to no insights and a slight variation of Darcy apologizing to Lizzy at the assembly. Yawn.

Accord, Congress, and Travesty -- three examples of oddly placed words that didn't quite fit. Could be spell-check issues but it's weird and not what I would expect from Regina Jeffers. Could this be AI? And the lack of a kitchen at Pemberley? That's the first thing they would put in those circumstances: a temporary kitchen. It's not like Darcy has door dash available.

I'm finding all the back-story information boring. I'm not particularly interested in the Dashwoods or Karen Younge, or any of the rest. Most of this could have been worked into the main narrative without all the repetitive detail; it reads like it is author's notes than anything important to the actual plot

A+ on the proposal!

The opening prologue is very interesting: We're in Lizzy's head as she waits for Darcy in what I presume is an inn. The way it is written, she's outside of herself, acting as a narrator of her own story in that moment. In another words, she's dissociated and dissociation implies deep trauma. Excellently done.

Having trouble with this one, it's just not grabbing me

Darcy is being a complete and total ass in this one; makes me want to slap him upside the head. Waiting to see when Wickham will show up and have my suspicions he's going to end up running off with Anne de Bourgh.

Caroline Bingley is not crazy in this one, a refreshing change. She's even likable! No, it's clear the one out of his gourd is Mr. Collins. It will be interesting to see where this goes in the second book. Also, Darcy thus far has not made an ass of himself, another refreshing change for this author; it was getting tiresome. The flashbacks, in the beginning, got jarring and a little boring.
