Okay, still good overall but I’m losing Interest. The heavy spice is getting old. I’d like the plot to pick back up again, but I fear this is the plot.

A literary masterpiece? Absolutely not. Am I eating this story up? Sure am.

Is it frowned upon to use a sick day to binge finish a book? Asking for a friend.

… we are so back. The freaking “found family” in this series is unmatched… the amount of times I’ve already smiled and giggled.

The ending better knock my damn socks off because I’ve been bored 95% of this book. And I LOVED book one. Loved it to the point of I would reread it and pretty much did before starting this sequel. About 100 pages to go…

“Second book syndrome” hits again. You can’t tell me that all second books in series have to DRAG at the start. As well as info dump. Come on. My brain hurts and I’m bored.

I’m gonna need this girl to address the fact that TWO men in her life have basically called her ugly. Like aggressively and with their whole chest. I need that to come up in a convo, stat.

Need a little palette cleanse from all of my fantasy series… second ever straight up romance/romcom; let’s see how this goes

Sadly I’m finding I don’t really care about this backstory… but also feel obligated to read this. I kind of actually like being in the dark about Ruben/Roses past

I’m confused, intrigued, invested… all the above. I wish I was a faster reader lol

I love unexpected humor in books. The banter amongst friends. The inner dialogue. The one liners… such a good mix so far of action, magic, romance, and honestly- humor. Loving this so far!

I am GOBBLING this book up. I don’t even really know why. It’s nothing revolutionary but I am so invested and intrigued and wanting to do nothing else. It’s such a breath of fresh air, and light easy read. Love! Going to need recs that match asap

I am thoroughly enjoying this read! Literally lose track of time reading it. So many questions still but keeping my attention!

Listened to 50% on my travel days- audiobooks are hard for me I feel like I get too distracted and don’t fully absorb the story. But so far it’s keeping my attention! Excited to see where it goes. All the timelines and seemingly random chapter titles have me a bit confused though.

This is really hard for me to get into. Started strong and now to me it’s really slow… having a hard time wanting to pick it up.

So many thoughts. Predictions. I was worried midway thru it would get boring or feel like it was dragging because things happened so quick at the start- but so far so good.

This book has been a bit slow. A lot of dialogue and discussion and not a lot of action. But when I tell you in the midst of a wordy conversation the author just…. my JAW IS ON THE FLOOR.

Definitely not as enthralling of a start as I had hoped.
