Every time a new piece of information drops, I find myself having to close the book and restructure my internal Crime Board. Okay we've officially passed the 50 page mark and I have to say, I'm very intrigued. Reading a story based on a ballet for the end of the year is actually quite fitting. It honestly just makes me wish someone would do this for the Nutcracker. Knowing how Swan Lake typically ends, I'm hoping this does not have the same bitter ending. I love Swan Lake and the twists in this are so juicy.

So far so good. One chapter in and it reminds me of a book I read when I was younger called "Eyes Like Stars", in which the characters of the plays lived in the theatre and that was their whole life. They lived their lives as the roles they were born as. This seems slightly different but has a similar concept. I'm at least intrigued so far.

I forgot how good the world building is for this series. You will not find truer enemies to.....than Gideon and Harrow. If death was possible, that still wouldn't be far enough away from each other for those two.

Honestly, I haven't been reading in a hot minute and I wanted something to put on while I cook. I don't usually do new books as audiobooks because I don't want to get distracted and miss something. But I took a gamble on this book. It's surprisingly cute and a fairly light read. The characters are likeable and the plot is intriguing. It's sitting at a solid three stars for me right now but I'm only halfway through...

Why is she so frustrating. I just don't understand someone who's so smart yet so naive. Especially for as old as she is. I'll definitely finish this book but I can tell it's going to be slow going.

So far so good. I once again started this book at Obscure Book Club night. It has a very intriguing plot line so far. I usually say if I can get past the first 100 pages, then I'll likely finish the book. The first 50 was great so let's hope the next 50 is just as riveting.

Paper Towns meets Gone Girl. That may end up being my only review. Was not expecting this book to be nearly as riveting as it is. I honestly expected your run of the mill YA search and rescue but this is DEEPLY involved for a high school girl. Was she training to be a CIA op or something?!

Really happy I left this one for last. I missed my little magical miscreants. I wasn't going to, but I might just do the whole trilogy over the next few months. Returning to the Londons was so fun. And I plan to read Fragile Threads this year so a full refresher is probably wise.

Lila my beloved. How I've missed your exuberance and pension for evil. Your light to Kell's dark. Your hope, your dreams. I don't want to stop where I am but I need to make more progress on my other book. And while I could very well just finish you for the night, you are my reward for completion tomorrow.

I've been on a cleaning kick lately and I can't do two things at once, so audiobooks are my best bet right now. I still don't like them much but I want to get through my Reading Challenge, so I've compromised by doing books I've already read. So if I zone out, I don't have to worry about missing anything crucial. I've truly missed Kell and now I'm equally missing London...in whatever form it takes.

Rereading this just reminded me of when I suggested this book to my best friend and I just receive a text "this is kinda gay" followed later by "this is REALLY gay" and I just laugh. Because Madeline really was not beating around the bush if you knew what to look for. But them hitting teenage years and the servant girls just...aren't doing it for them.... 😆 Oh my beloved boys how I missed your yearning.

All this talk of the Odyssey had me craving a reread. We'll see if I can finish it before the new year.
