This book is actually so fun and amazing to read. Really loving the humour, descriptions, and beautiful prose along with the main character. I'm stopping myself from reading it too quickly because it's just that good and I want to savour it.

Her mentioning EU grants all the time is so funny to me

I've never read Huckleberry Finn so some of this may not be as impactful

This is a fun read

almost done with this banger of a book. So frustrating reading how nazis just continued to live normally and get absorbed by the post-war german state

This book is straight bars, I'm loving it

I got this book a few months ago and finally reading it, it's SO good! "The Young-Girl would thus be the being that no longer has any intimacy with herself except as value, and whose every activity in every detail, is directed to self-valorization." p18

I'm really loving this book!!! So far definitely a favourite read!

This book is really good! Hard hitting but funny, very enjoyable so far!

Ugh it's SO good it's ridiculous

Got this last christmas and finally cracked it open. It's been a while since I read one of her books and forgot how GOOD the writing is. Already loving it.

"The double standard about aging sets women up as property, as objects whose value depreciates rapidly with the march of the calendar." p37 -The Double Standard of Aging

Finished the first essay and so many of her points remain true, especially after my trip to Miami where everyone had such intense plastic surgery. There was such a sense of freedom to not wear heavy makeup - if any at all.
