Naurrr the male author trap of describing boobs weirdly!!

Ugh it's SO good it's ridiculous

Got this last christmas and finally cracked it open. It's been a while since I read one of her books and forgot how GOOD the writing is. Already loving it.

"The double standard about aging sets women up as property, as objects whose value depreciates rapidly with the march of the calendar." p37 -The Double Standard of Aging

Finished the first essay and so many of her points remain true, especially after my trip to Miami where everyone had such intense plastic surgery. There was such a sense of freedom to not wear heavy makeup - if any at all.

why is there suddenly dialogue in french again?... also two grammar/spelling mistakes back to back in that dialogue!! it's driving me nuts!!

I just don't understand why the dialogue was mainly in french between the friends at first and now it's in english??? Make it make sense!

Enjoyed my previous Michael Lewis books so hopefully will enjoy this one!

Got this book back from the library and so happy! Rereading and finish it this time!

A bad book! The constant quoting back and forth is sooooo annoying and pretentious and contrary to what the author thinks, does not explain the character's feelings. Also her husband SUCKS

Been wanting to read this for a while now, especially with the non stop footage on social media from Gaza.

Barely started and already love this book! So so good!
