How can this be both boring and stupid?!

A twenty six year old woman being treated and characterized like a child and the main couple who have NO CHEMISTRY probably going to fuck TWICE in the FIRST 100 PAGES…..

I know I asked for this. I bought this book with my hard earned cash KNOWING that it was gonna be shit. But this? THIS?! This is too much, I do not wish to be your strongest soldier any longer. Why god, are they stupid? Why are they doing this OUT OF NO WHERE? Why did my girlfriend pick this book out of all the ones I presented her with? I know I am a faithless heathen god, but did I deserves this torture?

If there is one thing I hate more than anything in these dark romance novels, it’s when they use mental health as an excuse for awful behavior or a way to drive the plot forward. Like am I supposed to suddenly care about this girl who’s been slut shamed and called crazy for the whole three pages she’s been physically on now all of a sudden attempting?! Like what?? I don’t get it at all!!!

What is with every male lead with a Z name and living in wear houses? Like is there something I don’t know? Ain’t that suspicious??? Like at all???

Girl TF?! I’m so tired of this book already lmao 🫩 I blame my beautiful girlfriend for this monstrosity of a pick.

Here I was minding my own business thinking that this wasn’t scary or creepy at all…safe to say I’m taking back those words before they even graced this platform lol

Reading this after Exquisite Corpse is crazy cause the vibes are so similar and yet different, ugh I'm so sick. Anyway I'm having a fun time with this lol my timing is immaculate as always.

I…I have no words. I love this but also hate it? But not hate in a bad way, but hate in a “damn wtf is happened and oh god I know exactly what’s happening” kind of way. I’m so scared for Tran, he really has no good options, this book really does seed the despair people must have felt in these similar situations. No perfect victims, plenty of willing predators…

I wasn’t expecting this but to be a bit funny but I’m not complaining

Well damn…this got real dark and gory quick (not that it already wasn’t but I never thought I’d get a detailed description of how to chop up a corpse (which again I knew would happen considering this is extreme horror but ya know))

I have to say that I really skeptical at first on whether I would like this…safe to say I do tho there are some…complaints? Idk, but this book can pack a nice punch whether you’re religious or not. I mean what really is the meaning of meaning and the meaning of existence in near infinity?

Holy shit plot twists!

Goddamn 💀 I expected a book that didn’t hold its punches and I’ll be damned if I didn’t receive it.

The more I read the more intrigued I become. Seeing the cracks and fissures in the family in power, how it bleeds into them and breaks them apart, how fear is the only things holding them together is an interesting take that I haven’t seen yet in dystopian romance. So many of them make it out like the dude just spawns a heart cause the woman he loves is oppressed. I think this is a bit more realistic take

OW! WTF?! That story hurt so much I had legit tears in my eyes! I wasn’t expecting to cry in my soft sapphic book wtf!?

OMG FINALLY! My girls have found each other again! I’m so happy!

Ugh it’s so good! I’m gonna be so sad when I finish this cause this author hasn’t written anything else 😩

Okay! I like this one! It has such a good start compared to some other dystopian romances I’ve had the displeasure of coming across. I have very high hopes for this and I hoping it meets them head on!

I’m starting to believe that Sean and the other scientists have underestimated the connection she has with Kate. Some of her behaviors are bordering on wolf like in short glimpses so I’m starting to wonder if Kate is able to, in some strange way, access her connection with Sean in the same way Sean does with the machine.

Sean’s deepening obsession and her connection with the wolf that may be more intrusive than believe alongside just how terrible Sean is as a partner to her wife is such an interesting way of telling the story. You want to hate Sean and you do hate her because you can see how she treats the people around her and just how right her wife is about her. I won’t say I want something bad to happen to her but….
