Pleasingly, this series continues to prove itself as one that never compels me to check the page numbers

Aha! There’s that bizarro intersection of whimsical sci-fi concept meets oh no why is she choking herself that I expected with Elizabeth Tan’s input in this collection, as seen here in ‘The Blue Leopard’. The mention of wanting to piss made me check who the author of this story was, and while my brief internet research has been inconclusive, I cannot rule out Marylyn Tan being a relative of Elizabeth’s.

Woah there’s a bit less whimsy and a lot more heavy shit in here than I was expecting. Flies, Glass, and perhaps the end of Reunion Dinner have been the best of this afternoon’s collection.

A pretty compelling pair of stories to kick off - definitely interested in sticking with this collection

Meh. Mostly expository and yet fails to provide any concrete reason why our protagonists ought to be together at all.

Highly readable! Which feels a touch superfluous for describing a book, but this has been a lovely way to burn a few hours.

A gorgeous romp through fantasy worlds, and really just so much fun. Chaos Theory is a late favourite and wondrously constructed.

Waiting For The Icicle To Fall is wonderfully written

Nothing short of wonderful

Already captivated by the first story out of the gate. Looking forward to this one getting the Smovens treatment where I find the central premise of each story and how characters can interact with it to be so excellent and ultimately wind up heartbroken that I only get about 30 pages of it.
