The discovery of God comes with the confession of impotence. My love for others becomes confused with the hunger for God, for the annihilation of self, and the whole relationship slides into a terrifying chaos. It is not in contact with another human being that impotence is so terrifying, but because the ascension is not made then, because I know that it is only by exploding my self that I can reach union with God.
