Ive read one page and I am reminded why I keep reading books by Jean Giono. I’m not sure why I forget so frequently, but he may be my favorite author of all time.

fully-fledged movie reviewer. watched the notebook. holy sad. was good, might have been better without sadness, idk, maybe it made the happy better.

Might be a movie reviewer at this point… whoops. I watched watching the detectives and it was strange. Not so much a typical romcom, more of a strange indie twist on one? Not sure how to describe it completely, and unfortunately it was lowks applicable!??! Whoops again, my b. Funny still right length and good characters. Young Cillian Murphy is so different, looks more lively and nice imo. 3.5

Just watched puppy love, corny! But fun too, in fact the ending, like all rom coms, ends well, can’t even call that a spoiler. It ends well in both meanings of the words when referring to a movie. Didn’t know buzzfeed made movies and this might be their artistic limit but that’s fine by me. Cliche maxing for the win perhaps

I watched About Time last night/this morning. Super happy, fun concept, and I felt that where most rom-com movies end in the successful couple getting together for good, this one had that happen earlier and then went further which I liked because I always want to see the good thing last longer. I am really watching rom-coms to watch people being super happy

I just watched Midnight in Paris and it was wonderful. Happiness reigns again and sadness, although present, gets beaten in an emotional and eventually heroic triumph! I always want more when the work is good, and this ending, abrupt, almost made it good enough to stop my urge, but I want the happiness to continue ceaselessly when it starts. Bravo. 4.5

Watched Dog Day Afternoon. Twas funny. Thought the setting/ situation was very play like and that was cool. 😎. Great viewing experience

Watched 500 days of summer last night. It was interesting and surprising because I was not expecting it to be in such a specific style/director or someone’s vision. Glad about the ending. I liked the characters of his friends, they were super fun too

I just watched Meet Joe Black. 'Twas long, but good, but if, for all the future and current directors reading this, you make a movie that is three plus hours long, make it good and, If you want me to like it a lot, add a scene that gives you a picture of how things go a while after the main plot ends, before the credits role. Watch other movies first.

LOL, in the rom-com way

I just watched garden state the movie. I loved it. I might have seen it before, def have bc I recognized the ark moment, but it still made me super happy to watch again. Would def recommend. Goodreads is the new best social media platform. Prove me wrong

MOVIE UPDATE!! I watched how to lose a guy in 10 days and it was very fun. I always want an ending scene that is something like ‘one year later’ and then you get a couple mins of that, and I wanted that a ton with this movie. Time with family is the best moment, as it should be

Just watched Notting Hill. Amazing movie

The student is not in enough conflict with the teacher, does not try enough to pick apart the lessons, and it ends up seeming like he doesn’t care at all even though day after day he carries on with this admittedly absurd practice that has no guaranteed pay off
