Alright, this is so cliche and tropey. Let me guess since there are two other books and I'm almost done with this one. Either her brother or her dad or both are still alive and working for these Griffin people or are a venin or both. One of the MC will become a venin in order to save the other and they'll need to find a way to "save" them. One of her dragons will leave so she only has one for part of the book or all

Okay, I'm getting annoyed. They are limiting population growth by having it so you can't marry until a certain age, and they are talking about how few soldiers they have while allowing cadets to just die (don't get me started on the one that died in the MF river), but have given NO EXPLANATION as to why. Also, I'm getting annoyed at the love sick bs towards xaden and her spaghetti personality

... well, if that's how it starts, I'm conflicted on whether I'll like this, mostly because they made the decision to kill the person you have the most empathy for at the beginning rather than the nobody (i also don't really enjoy the mc, so this will be interesting). It was intentional to make you feel something at the beginning, and I usually don't enjoy books that do that so early.

Okay yeah, if people dropped off because of the premise, they are missing out cause DAMN THINGS DO BE GOING ON

This is very strange and I don't know what to think about it

I'm re-reading since the author just had a milestone in her health struggles. So I'm reading both of her larger series and giving good vibes and my money to her. This'll take a while since she likes to make longer books, and I'm not against that, lol

I didn't read the summary before I started this book. I heard from a person I follow on YouTube that this i is one of her favorite books, so I started it. Half an hour in and I started crying because I knew where it was going until it threw something I wasn't expecting at me and started crying harder. I am already in love with this book.

I saw a lot I didn't catch until near the end the first time, and this is how you tell a good mystery. Damn. Even with the supernatural elements you can see the threads

LOL, what does it say about my mind that I already knew this was going to happen at the fight of the second book? I'm not at the reveal of the twist, but I really do question the reveiws I saw of people saying the beginning confused them when I'm screaming at the characters about what's going on. It's really quite obvious by page 40.

So far I like it, but again, I really do think it's listening to his books that help rather than reading them. Also cat, if they are "teens" they are way closer to our years teens or like early 2010s, so I agree there lol
