beautiful, shocking, important - how painful and inevitable to read about these events. still, as much as i adore han kang, i somehow could not connect to the characters in the same way that i did in „the vegetarian.“ talking about these true events was horrifying and socially essential, yet to me personally, the separate chapters with individual stories made this too disorienting.
