A Treasury of Hercule Poirot Mysteries
“Murder on the Links” didn’t interest me as much as I hoped it would. It felt overly complicated and clumsy in some aspects. Poirot himself says that complexity doesn’t necessarily equate to cleverness when he first sees the crime scene. Dame Christie remains the undisputed “queen of crime” but I’m still searching for a mystery as phenomenal as “The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.”

Beyond Band of Brothers: The War Memoirs of Major Dick Winters
“In thinking back on the days of Easy Company, I’m treasuring my remark to a grandson who asked, ‘Grandpa, we’re you a hero in the war?’ ‘No,’ I answered, ‘but I served in a company of heroes.’”
