I really enjoyed Exterminator by Mike Vincent, both a fun Guard story AND Night Lords story in one. Definitely excited for his full Night Lords book to drop in paperback now :)

The Guard stories in this have really fallen off, im hoping it picks back up soon because I am enjoying it, it just feels alot less interesting now.

Just finished The Last Psyker, and it felt really pointless

Enjoying this alot more than the first so far, it feels a lot less edgy and grittier which is coooooooool.

Also the little nods to this being a post apocalypse but still historical fantasy setting, its a cool take on world building in both genres

Another novel down; im gonna take a break from this while I visit family over Christmas to get back to the broken empire series. I've had alot of space marines back to back lmao

Hit a a bit of a slump here with this one. The last 3 have been Imperial Guard stories (Tattershield, The Strength of Symbols and Those Without Mercy) and were all pretty uninteresting. Hope it picks up again soon with the 2nd Mike Vincent story. The first one was fun

A Dreadnought story where he butchers Night Lords how delightful

Guns of Enth was great until the random Alpha Legion plot twist at the end. Despite that the interrelations of different chapters is interesting to read about and the underlying plot of the Badab war was a nice change.

Tally of Slaughter was some good old fashioned bolter porn but again with the history of Badab adding some depth to it. The idea of a Vashtorr army of Chaos space marines was cool

The Blooded lost me for a bit in the middle but the opening against the Death Guard and Poxwalkers and the twist at the end with the Angels Vermillion antics was cool

I've decided to start reading some of the anthologies I've got on my way into work. Just finished the first story in here, Death Toll. Its always fun to have a reminder of how evil the Imperium of Man is, and the Iron Lords are no exception. Getting to see them compared to the T'au in their brutality was very grimdark (like the game omg)
