Ok, trying this one again to see if I have a new perspective...while I wait "patiently" on hold for #6 in the Strike series 😝

Should I keep going? Does this get better? The last book was great, but I'm struggling to get invested in this one...

Errrrmm, should I keep going? Does this get better? I'm scared of pursuing this 800 page wrist-bender if it's not worth it. So far seems really juvenile (supposed to be her first adult series?), just peppered with a bunch of "fucks" - does that make it Adult? I liked her other books, so not sure what's going on here.

Slow goings on this one...too many personal stories and name-dropping to remain engaged, but still pursuing because information outside of these faults is worthwhile.

Trying to decide if I should plug onward... uninvested. Does it improve with patience? Mine is wearing thin...

Gah. 600 pages later and I feel I wasted my time...anticlimactic ending to a sluggish interior. Surprising since The Goldfinch was its opposite.
