I'm only 35% in but I'm already trying to figure out how Ben is going to become someone I like. Good detective, but a total jerk otherwise. No redeeming qualities at all.

DNF - Too dull, not feeling the characters, and flashbacks are not my thing. I can take some, but constant... Nope. Just give me the story. I looked at 50% and they're still happening so I'm out.

I'm not saying this book is going to be any good - I've been in quite the slump lately and have picked some ones I thought were going to be good and then they ended up in my DNF pile or with a 'wth did I just read?' (and not in a good way) - But the scene I just read pulled my heart strings in a way that they haven't been in quite some time. I'm invested in these characters. Here's to hoping it stays that way...

DNF - For now. Might come back to it. The thing is there's a great way to write a GFY story and a not so great way - this one is definitely leaning towards the latter. I was getting bored and eye rolling too much for me to continue.

This book has been so much more than I thought it would be!! Loving it!

So far I feel it's very slow and we've only seen the inside of the auditorium. I'm ready for a shift. I want to see Daisy and Erik outside of the theater. I will say it does not help matters that I haven't been able to just sit and read for long periods of time. When you have to jump in and out of a book it's definitely harder to connect and get into the flow of the story.

Hmmm... Third person narrative is definitely not my favorite. Harder for me to connect with characters. But I'm hopeful because of all the great reviews.

So this book is pretty good, but I'm confused as to how a story about a high paid call girl has all the sex scenes fade to black - and WITH the main MC! I don't need explicit details but SOMETHING would be nice so I can feel that connection between the two. It's annoying and I feel there should have been an FYI in the synopsis that all intimate scenes are left up to your imagination...

I don't like to use the word 'hate' when it comes to people. Even fictional characters - as crazy as that may seem. I might loathe them or can't stand them etc. But right now I really hate a certain character in this book.

My heart is not gonna survive... :(

This story would be so much better if it went in order. Tired of the back and forth.

I'm intrigued, nervous, and hoping for the best. I'll have to stop reading if it goes in a certain direction... Praying to the book gods it doesn't.

THIS. This is how you do slow burn, bantering, enemies to friends to lovers (hopefully soon). So far this book is pretty close to perfection...

DNF... Really? The mob? Blackmailing? I'm out. That is so left field and doesn't go with the tone/style of this book. So cliche and over the top. Please...

I feel like I say this about quite a few books lately, and this one is no different, but it started out so good. First 35% was great... Now it's slow, boring and repetitive. I've started skimming a little. Hopefully it'll pick up again.

A busy week so my reading is slow - but seriously, my heart goes to Radulf right now. <3

As for the book so far: Excellent

So intrigued about where things are headed...

It's taken me a little while to get into it - well mostly feel any sort of connection between the two and their love/relationship - but I'm coming around to it. I didn't care for how it started. It felt like I started in the middle of the book or the series... But I'm beginning to see why.

So far (even though I'm somewhat early on) I'm giving this book an A+, many thumbs up and 5 stars! I hope I'm not jinxing things... But great start!

I have Christmas shopping to do, but FINALLY!! I found a book I can't down! Absolutely enthralled.

Can't wait to read this during the long weekend!! The length of this novel is awesome! I've read some 'blah', been there, done that books lately. Lauren Gilley is not one of those authors. Jumping into her motorcycle club world is always a crazy, addicting ride!

Decided just to give this book a try and it's been absolutely great - a little predictable, sure, but his pov is hilarious and both H's are strong, very likable characters.
