Reading with anxiety that all these characters I've "watched" grow up will make poor choices and come to ruin. Then, immense peace that Christina loves these characters as much as I do. Growing and healing can be painful, but it's a necessary part of life. Life isn't about living it out perfectly, it's about learning from our mistakes and forgiving others for theirs.

Do I have time for 5 books right now? No. But will I still attempt to make time for them all? Yes. When the interlibrary loan system says jump, you pull out the trampoline.

Rereading to refresh my memory before I begin Christina's latest book, A Menagerie Of Dragons. This series is a balm to my weary soul. Books that make you want to read other books are life giving. I truly believe Christina wrote these with homeschool mamas in mind!

How can you be homesick for a time and place you cannot ever go back to and have never been? That's how reading this makes me feel. But in a delicious sweet way, not in a depressing angsty way. 😁

Only on letter 4 and I already exploded into laughter over Helene's cheeky sense of humor. This is going to be fun!

Only two chapters in, and I've already giggled with delight from the inner monologue of the MC. Why has it taken me so long to pick you up from the shelf, Wodehouse?
