Dude I love this book so much. I don’t understand how it’s perceived as boring

The first novella, The Hedge Knight, is almost frame for frame the same as season 1. Amazing writing from GRRM and the show writers. Onto novella two, The Sworn Sword

Reading this again before Tony comes out

Pt2 The Janitor’s Father

Back at it after a hiatus

I dislike that the human’s point of view is just trauma dumping the people she knew that are dead and thinking in idioms, that’s not character building.

We’ll see if I finish this… it’s interesting but if it continues being a whole bunch of “gotcha” points I’m not gonna waste anymore time on it

Matt “several things happened at once” Dinniman

Man I do not get sick of that literary device

Officially reading the Cosmere in order over the next who knows how much time. This fills a lot of gaps. Am I going to take credit for reading this and the four novellas I’m reading within separately? You betcha. It’s my Goodreads.

In the end game. I’m not a big fan of the fact things that were “unheard of” or almost never occurred in the dungeon are now occurring 3-5x per book. It makes it less special. I guess that’s the curse of writing progression

Part four: The Peeling of Larracos

Part 3: Open Hostilities

Really enjoying these character specific chapters highlighting a certain group of former crawlers.

King Rust and Volteeg - great characters, terribly sad stories.

Part 2: The Ramp-Up

The Trask’s have a Cain and Abel in every generation

Part 4 😮‍💨 nobody is having a good time

Part 3 an interesting interpretation of Cain and Abel

These pages are longer than normal pages, I swear

Finally learning about the history of debt

Europeans did not understand what Africans meant when they said they owed somebody an actual person

Back at it, finally. Still super philosophical in nature. Looking forward to getting to the historical aspect of it

JFC how does a person talk so much but say so little 🫩
