I’m actually obsessed with this so far

right so this entire book is going to be MISERABLE… I’m all for a melancholic tone, but DAMN

devouring is an understatement… I can’t stop reading

is this rage bait

this is going off the rails, but I’m lowkey here for it… also feeling seen for someone who ALWAYS did dishes at my college house, it’s bringing up past trauma…

is this hard to follow or is it just me…?

Initial thoughts so far:

1. I’m already in existential dread and I’m HERE FOR IT.
2. This line of questioning is right up my alley.
3. I’m feeling SO SEEN as an empath…

I have a feeling this is going to be an unforgettable reading experience…

why am I getting emotional over the changing of seasons… this book may have already consumed me… and I’m here for it…

The wave of emotion that just took over me is astounding.

took me a bit to get into this one, but now I’m HOOKED

I wasn’t really feeling this in the beginning, but my god this has become so unhinged.

a slow start, but now my interest is PIQUED

there comes a time in every Backman book where each line starts to feel like poetry…

Oh I’m unbelievably hooked and immersed. An uninformed narrator? Sign me up EVERY TIME

I’m already seeing the appeal with this… excited to continue.

I love being in the midst of the mystery in Christie’s books, but I hate to say I’m not really digging the backstory with this one. Still enjoying my time, but it will take an extremely clever ending for this to blow me away in any capacity.

Typically, Christie uses the first 100 pages to set up the intrigue of the mystery, but I gotta be honest this feels clunky so far. Hopefully I eat my words as the story progresses…

The premise is intriguing and I’m eating it up right now, but I’m curious where this even goes from here…

I can’t believe I actually had the thought to DNF this book because this is truly remarkable. This took such a turn and I am so unbelievably invested, I need to see how this ends.

This is just further proving my point that prematurely DNFing a book means you aren’t giving it a fair chance…

Nothing really happened until about 40% in. Truly think the only character I care about thus far is Benji. Interested to see where this goes, but so far this hasn’t really stood out to me.
