A friend I no longer talk to once told me how much she loved this collection. How deeply it impacted her perception of the world and also how she wrote. It's been months since we've last talked, but I can still clearly see her here, and I can't decide if the love I feel reading is what she once felt or just the love I hold for her.

Enjoying the way the philosophical questions Kundera aims to raise is woven naturally into the text through how he depicts his characters. Making it all the more compelling, but more importantly accessible regardless of what you know on the subject.
