I’m going to make myself finish this because I paid my hard-earned money for it. Wow, this is poorly written, but the dialogue is actually decent. This works much better on TV.

I like to have opinions on popular things, and this is everywhere at the moment. I will say I thought the show was genuinely good television. Jacob Tierney was able to bring a lot of depth, nuance, and used space/time very effectively to tell a story. The main actors also brought a lot of tenderness, range, and body language that resonated on screen. This book does not have the same feel. The writing is abysmal.
