I am very much not enjoying this but I am hate-reading it at this point

the chapters are like, 2.5 pages long, which could be condensed into fatter chapters (it spent "5" chapters on the MC which could have been just one chapter describing the start to end
the writing is aggressively fine
the characters are okay except one guy but I think that's the point
